So many things have happened in the last 30 years of our company's history
that I would like to take a few moments to give you an overview of some of them.
Over the years many people have asked me how I got started preparing ancient
formulas from China, well here's a brief history. It was in early 1973 that
I began martial arts training. It was only after a search through 18 other schools
that I found this rather unusual 'temple' that taught authentic Northern style
Mandarin Gung Fu. Only after an interview with the Master and his temporary
acceptance of you did one gain admission. The 'right' to continue was based
on one's continuing performance. The system called 'Chi Tao Ch'uan Gung Fu'
teaches 8 main animals styles of fighting and five dragons systems with numerous
sub-styles all leading to internal study. It was after 3 years of study that
a master chose a few of us to be his 'disciples' which began our second level
of training.
This included making a few simple herbal formulas used to toughen, strengthen,
protect and heal various parts of the hand and foot. Little did I know the ultimate
importance of this. A few of us made these ancient formulas after the Master
went away. We then made them locally for other schools finally nationally for
large distributors. We now make them for you! In 1994 my wife and I travelled
all throughout China Visiting places where these formulas came from. OHC helped
in the re-building of the oldest Shaolin temple at Dong Feng.
This was a most rewarding experience and re-enforced our path creating these
ancient preparations. In 1995 we discovered that the first aid liniments worked
exceptionally well on horses thus creating a line of liniments for the horse
healthcare market. In 1996 I returned to China to study healing 'Qi Gong' at
Xi Yuan Hospital in Beijing. OHC has always provided you with only the finest
products using many clean room controlled herbs as well as hand prepared formulas.
