Aid the healing process with these traditional teas
These first aid formulas were sometimes called "hit formulas". These powdered herbal teas are ancient military prescriptions of Hua T’o. They are used to treat the effects of hard knocks received while training or sparing. They work along with standard first-aid treatments, but add an extra dimension by directing the chi energy circulation to promote fast, natural healing. Herbal hit formulas can be brewed into tea, put into capsules or made into small tea nugget’s called “hit pills”. Traditional Martial Art teachers in China prepare pills to have on hand in school for the contusions, sprains and “cracked” bones that accompany rigorous training. Professional fighters would carry hit pills in their kits because Kung-fu was their livelihood and they could not afford to interrupt training or a tournament schedule. Herbal hit pills work along with the body’s own natural healing energy by rechanneling the flow of chi, blood and water that has been disrupted by a sudden shock or twist due to a hit or fall. They send extra wei chi defensive energy to the effected area to break up obstructions and start stagnated energy flowing again.
